Member Check Points

As a RAUS member, you need to be aware of the following points.

When providing information to your physician for filing claims, be sure that the physician or hospital makes a copy of all sides of your membership card.

Many times, the physician will make a copy of a member's card and only copy part of the information needed to file an insurance claim.  Your membership card is designed to be folded to fit in your wallet.  Be sure they copy all sides of the card for their records.  The Association office receives claim forms almost every day. This only delays the processing of your claim, since we have to forward it to ASI.

All claims should be sent directly to ASI for processing.

Once you receive the Settlement Sheet from your health claim processor for your area, you are ready to prepare the ASI claim form for the supplemental coverage under your RAUS policy. Claim forms are available from ASI by calling 1-800-638-2610. Complete the supplemental claim form furnished by ASI, attach the form to the Settlement Sheet, and mail both forms to ASI for processing to:

Verify the member data at the bottom of your dues invoice.

The Association maintains information on each member such as date of birth, social security number, branch of service, rank, etc.  This information is kept confidential.  When you receive your invoice for RAUS membership dues, the member data is printed at the bottom.  Be sure to verify that all information is correct and notify the Association of any corrections or missing information.
